• Wyoming Game & Fish Department

    For 50+ years the Wyoming Game and Fish Laboratory in Laramie, WY has provided top-notch services to the department as well as other state and federal agencies. The main focus of the laboratory is fish health and wildlife forensics. Additional duties include aging of big game teeth using a technique called cementum annuli analysis. The laboratory is one of the few state laboratories in the country that is both a full service fish health and wildlife forensic laboratory. Both programs are recognized nationally.

    The Montana Game Wardens Association (MGWA) is an organization of active-duty officers who serve as State Game Wardens in the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks. Retired officers as well as a number of non- warden supporters and sponsors constitute our Associate Membership. The Association strives to involve officers as well as the general public in important resource issues, recognize the long-standing traditions and accomplishments of Game Wardens in protecting Montana’s wild resources, as well as provide various benefits for its members.

    The MGWA is in no way officially linked with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, a state agency, although most of its members serve the agency and, by extension, the people and wild resources of Montana.
