SWFS 2024 CONFERENCE & MEETING KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
Conference Registration
We are excited to announce that the next Conference and Meeting will be conducted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Situated along the main international trade routes between Europe, African and East Asia, Malaysia is one of the most significant countries impacted by the illegal wildlife trade. Trafficked wildlife, notably from the African continent, is regularly intercepted in Malaysian ports, en route to consumer countries in Asia. The application of wildlife forensics has been instrumental in combating the illegal wildlife trade, as well as local wildlife crimes in Malaysia.
This will be the Society’s 7th meeting, but its first in Asia. We are very happy to gather together members, practitioners, and scientists to share and discuss current updates in the field of wildlife forensics and learn about the how our discipline is developing in the region.
Alongside providing a platform for networking and communication, the objective of this conference is also to promote standardization and enhance the growth of the wildlife forensic field to overcome the threat of wildlife crimes to our world’s biodiversity.
Malaysia is home to megadiverse rainforests, and offers unique natural and cultural experiences to participants attending the conference. We welcome you to join us!
