Understanding R through the lens of forensic genetics
Who should attend: Wildlife DNA Scientists who have a basic understanding of population genetic theory and applications.
Summary: One of the benefits of using R is that it does not require the constant reformatting of data for use in multiple computing platforms or programs to conduct different analyses. This workshop is not focused on the theory or statistics of population genetics but is intended for those who want a brief introduction into R and the population genetic tools available within the open source R platform (e.g. calculating basic summary statistics, HWE, PCA, DNA match probabilities).
