After careful consideration of the ongoing spread of COVID-19 worldwide, the Society for Wildlife Forensic Science Board of Directors has decided to postpone the SWFS 2021 Meeting in Kruger National Park. The new meeting date has yet to be determined, however it will still be held in Kruger National Park in June/July 2022.
SWFS has been monitoring the coronavirus situation with the health, safety, and well-being of our members in mind. The Board arrived at this difficult decision after consulting with the host laboratory, several SWFS members, board members and gathering information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Embassy & Consulates in South Africa. Ultimately, the international nature of our Meeting, the rapidly changing events surrounding the pandemic, and the difficulty with travel plans has made it impossible for us to hold the SWFS 2021 meeting in July.
We ask for your patience as we work with the host laboratory and the meeting venue to secure a new date for the SWFS 2022 Meeting.
