The Friends of Wildlife Forensics Charitable Fund

This charitable fund was created on behalf of the Society for Wildlife Forensic Science, an international organization that supports practitioners and promotes best practices in forensic science dealing with wildlife (mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects, plants, coral, trees, etc.). The fund is designed to support potential projects both in the United States and internationally. Eligible initiatives include education, training, and capacity building within the wildlife forensic sciences. Specifically, funding may be directed toward assisting with the establishment of forensic laboratories, purchasing specialized equipment, providing training, and offering travel support for scientists to attend international conferences and meetings.

The Society was established in November 2009 with the mission to develop wildlife forensic science into a comprehensive, integrated and mature discipline.
